Last week I attended the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Amsterdam. I saw several amazing shows. However, the people attending the events were even more impressive. The one even more fashionable than the other. So you can imagine my surprised look when I got voted “Look of the day” this morning at Amayzine. A Dutch fashion & lifestyle website. I think that, especially compared to the others, my basic tom-boy look isn’t really that impressive. But I find it soooo cool to be spotted anyway. Check out the full article on their website. Oh by the way, fashion guru and best friend Anne-Marleen was spotted the day before.
Who says you need to be 1,85 to become a top model 😉
Carry on…no not as in “keep calm and carry on” but as in carry-on luggage. Tomorrow I am going to Portugal for a, if I must say so, well-deserved get-away with four of my best girl friends. But we decided to travel with only carry-on luggage. This means one little suitcase for a 5-day holiday. Why….in Gods name…why did we decide this again?!
5 days, 4 category’s of activities; beach/swimming pool, shopping, going out and wining&dining. This actually means I need to bring an entire wardrobe cause you never know what to expect and who you might run into. So right now I am a flipping coin for al pre-selected items to see what will actually carry with me.
But truth is I cannot wait to get away out of the country tomorrow. It is going to be sooo much fun. Just fyi…in another category of carry on I carefully deleted several mobile phone number of boys that I collected over past few weeks in my eternal search for love. It is time for less drama and more girls just want to have fun.
Turn on out office, switch mobile phone into flight mode, keep calm and carry on!
I am grumpy as hell today! Don’t get too close, don’t try to cheer me up. Actually even better don’t even try to talk to me. My Spotify Play list is playing every sad song in the universe and I think I might go cry under the shower later tonight.
Stupid thing is, the actual reason why I am grumpy has not been defined yet.
But thank god for my flower guy. At least he made me laugh today, like he always does. Pretty guy, flirtatious including beautiful smile. I actually cannot decide if I like him or my new -cheer-me-up- flowers better…
On my quest for eternal love I occasionally check my Tinder account – not that I believe that I will find prince charming here, but hey, can’t blame a fool for trying. A few months ago I was actually quite impressed by the number of cute boys appearing on my screen. But now it seems that the majority of boys are either playing for the other team or just not as pretty (read: plain right ugly).
My friends and I have a “secret” whatsapp group in which we share people’s pictures who are not be shared in public. Harsh right? I know, but so much fun! Dangerous also to leave my phone unattended cause my roommate was able to get me a match with a “cat person”. 5 profile pictures of cats named Mushi. Guess what, that ain’t no boyfriend material.
Anyways…the other day I had a match with a pretty boy. 18 years olds – which in itself is quite questionable already considering my age. But after talking to the guy for like five minutes he asked me how it was possible that we were a match because he preferred swiping boys instead of girls. “I like swiping boys too” was my swift reply. So I asked why, if he likes boys, he gave me the little green hart while playing the game.
Sweet little gay told me that my pictures were cute and they looked like I am living a fun life. So no true romance yet but a joyful confidence boost to keep looking cause I can only imagine there must be one prince charming who wants to live a fun life with me.
